1. What is the Cycling Canada Learning Management System (LMS)? 

The Cycling Canada Learning Management System (LMS) is an online platform for Coaches and Commissaire education. The LMS is where coaches and commissaires register for NCCP courses, access eLearning modules for professional development (PD) points, and access resources tools specific to coaches and commissaires.

2. How much does it cost to register with Cycling Canada’s Learning Management System?

The cost to register and maintain an account within the Cycling Canada LMS portal is completely free. There are however registration fees for select e-learning modules and for NCCP courses.

3. I am not an existing registered coach/commissaire with Cycling Canada, how can I access Cycling Canada’s Learning Management System?

If you are a new coach/commissaire that doesn’t have a profile in the Learning Management System, you can access the LMS by registering. To do this click on the “Register” tab and you’ll be directed towards the sign-up page.

Note For Coaches: If you have an NCCP number please enter it into the NCCP Number field to ensure your certification(s) is synced with the Coaching Association of Canada’s (CAC) Locker portal. If you do not have an NCCP number, the portal will automatically assign you with one and an account will be created in the Locker.

4. I am a registered coach/commissaire with Cycling Canada. How can I access the LMS?

If you are an existing coach or commissaire with Cycling Canada, the LMS can be accessed by going to https://edu.cyclingcanada.ca and clicking on the “Member Sign In”.

5. What if I have lost or forgotten my password to login into the LMS?

If you have forgotten your login information, it can be retrieved by selecting the “Forgot” password function which will reset your account with your pre-existing email account. 

6. What is NCCP?

The National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) provides standardized, inclusive, and safe sport education. The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) manages and delivers NCCP training through its partner network of 65 National Sport Organizations (NSO) and Provincial/Territorial Sport Organizations.

7. What if I do not remember or lost my NCCP number?

Please contact the Coaching Association of Canada at coach@coach.ca.

8. The Portal will not give me credit for a NCCP course that I have completed?

For the most correct record of NCCP status The Locker (https://thelocker.coach.ca) is the book of record. If your status in the LMS does not match your Locker profile, please contact learning@cyclingcanada.ca to have it corrected.

9. How do I maintain my coaching certifications?

Cycling Canada and the Coaching Association of Canada recognize the value of having certified NCCP coaches that are engaged in Professional Development programs which reinforce best practice and the values of lifelong learning and sharing among the coaching community.

Professional Development activities and points are tracked through your transcript within the NTRS and the CAC Locker. As part of your ongoing commitment to coaching, all certified coaches will be required to maintain their certification by accumulating PD points over a set time frame.
